Who AM I?
My name is Destiny Chambers and I have been at Egypt Elementary for 8 years. I am a former student of Egypt Elementary, Raleigh Egypt Middle, and Raleigh Egypt High School. I am blessed for the opportunity to be at "home" and give back to the Raleigh Community. I studied Elementary Education at the University of Memphis and am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 2 wonderful children. My passion is educating children and rebuilding the Raleigh Community. I truly believe all children can learn and be successful. Thus, we are known as the Champions. I teach my children that having a winning attitude feeds into both their behavior and academics. We will cross the finish line of learning together!!
Our First Week of School.....
Goals are an important part of our classroom community. We begin our year by stating our hopes and dreams for our 3rd grade year. We have learned that a hope is a short term goal that we would like to accomplish within this current school year. Students reflected on their previous year both through academics and behaviors. They set goals for this current year as well as identified 3 ways they would work to accomplish their goals. Students found that setting high hopes and identifying pathways to achieve them enables students to reach their dreams. We learned that a dream is a long term goal, what they want to become in life. Those hopes and dreams lead to goals in many social, academic, and behavioral areas.
